Simon Wolff seems to have spent about three years in Leadville. A bookkeeper, in 1883 he worked for Jacob Schloss and lived at 325 East 3rd Street. The next year he moved a block further into the mining district at 415 East 3rd Street. 1885 found Simon employed maintaining accounts at Baer Brothers in their store at 116 Harrison Avenue which was also his new residence.
